Terms

This site is run by WAVEMYTH SRL, a Romanian limited liability company, tax code (CUI) 37507410, registered with the trade register under J12/2210/2017, with its registered office at Str. Septimiu Albini nr. 19-21, ap. 22, Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania. It trades as Wavemyth Gaming at wavemyth.com. In these terms "we" and "us" mean WAVEMYTH SRL, and "you" means the person using the site.

By using Chikinverse Arcade you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

If you are a child, these terms are also addressed to your parent or guardian, and by letting you use the site they accept them too.

The first time you visit we ask the month and year you were born. Answer truthfully. We keep only whether you are under 16 or not.

If you are under 16 you can play every game and add friends straight away. Signing in, so that your progress is kept, needs a parent or carer to say yes first. You give us their email address and we send them one email to ask. Only give an address that really belongs to your parent or carer, and do not answer that email yourself.

Once you have told us you are under 16 you cannot change the answer on the site. If it was a mistake, write to connect@wavemyth.com.

A parent or carer who has said yes can take it back at any time from the parent corner, or by writing to connect@wavemyth.com. You then cannot sign in again, but you can keep playing. Only they can turn it back on; asking a different adult does not.

From the parent corner they can also see how long you have played, remove a friend, switch friends, cheers, sticker swaps or coop visits off, download a copy of what we hold about you, and delete your account. You cannot switch back on something they switched off.

You can play everything without an account, as a guest. A guest's progress is not kept: games are not saved, and a guest earns no scores, Credits or trophies and is not on the score boards or cup tables. That is how the site works, not a fault.

You can make an account with Google or with an email link, and then your progress is kept and follows you. If you are under 16, a parent or carer has to say yes before you can.

Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.

One person, one account. Do not make extra accounts to get more rewards or more places on a leaderboard.

Credits are points. Experience, levels, streaks, trophies, stickers, daily missions, weekly cups and titles are all points. You can spend Credits on parts for your Chikin in your profile, and on the few stickers on the shelf in your sticker album. A part or a sticker you buy is yours to keep, and the Credits spent on it are not given back. The other stickers, and the titles for finishing a page of the album, are earned by playing and cannot be bought.

They cannot be bought, cannot be sold, cannot be exchanged for money or for anything of value, and cannot be transferred to another player. They have no cash value and they are not a prize, a wager or a competition entry with a reward.

Winning a weekly cup earns you more Credits and a title on the site. It earns you nothing else.

A streak counts the days you play. You can miss up to two days in a row and your streak waits for you. After a longer break it rests, and the next day you play starts a new one. Your best streak stays on your player card, and nothing you earned while a streak was running is taken back when it ends. A streak cannot be bought back, and no game on this site offers to repair one in exchange for watching an advert.

We may change what things cost, what they pay, how missions and cups are scored, and how many Credits anything is worth. We may reset any of it. Nobody is owed compensation for a change to a number in a game.

Your player name is two words you pick from lists we wrote, and you can pick again whenever you like in your profile. You are given one at random when you first arrive. It appears on public leaderboards next to your scores, and strangers can see it there.

You cannot type a name of your own and you cannot upload a picture, and your Chikin is put together from parts we drew, so nothing on your player card can say who you are or where to find you. We wrote it that way on purpose, because this site is designed to be safe for children.

We can change the words on the lists. If we take a word off, anyone using it is given a new one in its place.

You can add a friend by swapping friend codes. Both of you have to agree, and either of you can undo it later without asking the other.

Only give your friend code to somebody you actually know. It is the one thing on this site that lets another person find you, so treat it like a phone number rather than something to post publicly. If you have given it out too widely, get a new one from your profile and the old one stops working.

A friend can see your player name, your best scores, your trophies, and whether you have been playing in the last few minutes. Unless you switch progress sharing off, they can also see your level, title and streak.

You can pick up to four of your trophies or stickers for your showcase, which your friends see first on your friend card. You can also send each friend one cheer a day, picked from a short list of messages we wrote. A parent or carer can switch cheers off, and then none are sent to you or from you. You can decorate your coop with furniture bought with Credits and with your own stickers and trophies, and only your friends can visit it. You can swap shop stickers with a friend, one for one, and nothing moves until both of you agree. A parent or carer can switch sticker swaps or coop visits off, and then they stop both ways.

There is no chat here and no way to send another player anything you have written. Do not use friend requests to pester somebody. We can remove a friendship, change or take away a friend code, or close an account that is used to bother other players.

In Prism you can draw a pixel picture from the game's own colours and share it with your friends. Only your friends can see it, and each of them sees it as a puzzle to solve first. A picture has no words in it. Do not draw anything unkind, rude or scary, and do not draw anything that says who you or anybody else is or where to find them, such as a name, an address or a phone number spelled out in squares.

A friend who thinks a picture should not be there can report it. A reported picture is hidden from everyone but its maker straight away while we look at it, and we can take it down for good or close an account that keeps sharing things it should not. A parent or carer can remove any picture their child has shared from the parent corner. You can stop sharing one of your pictures at any time, and you can have up to 30 shared at once.

Once a picture is shared it cannot be changed, because a friend may be halfway through solving it. To change it, make a copy, change that, and share the copy.

Post scores you actually got, by playing the game as it is meant to be played.

Do not modify a game, automate it, use another program to play it for you, take apart or interfere with the connection between a game and this site, or try to post a score that did not come from a real run. We check scores, and we limit how many can be posted in a short time.

Do not try to get into anyone else's account, read anyone else's saves, or guess at other people's friend codes. We limit how many codes can be tried in a short time, and we keep a record of the attempts.

If we think a score is not genuine, we can remove it, remove a trophy or a cup placing that came from it, reset a player's progress, or close the account. We will use judgement rather than a rule book, and we will get it wrong occasionally; if you think we have, write to connect@wavemyth.com.

The site is paid for by advertising from Google and by Chikin Club (see "Chikin Club and tips"). Adverts appear between games, and a game may offer you an advert you can choose to watch in exchange for something in the game. You are never made to watch one of those, and refusing costs you nothing but the reward.

We limit how often an advert can interrupt play: none in the first minute of a game, no more than three in a visit, and at least two minutes between any two.

The adverts are Google's, not ours. We do not choose which advert you see and we are not responsible for what is in it or for where it takes you if you tap it. If you see an advert here that is not appropriate for children, please tell us at connect@wavemyth.com. We want to know.

A player covered by Chikin Club sees no adverts anywhere in the arcade. See the privacy page.

The games are free, and everything in them is earned by playing. An adult can choose to support the arcade with Chikin Club, a membership, or with a one-off tip. Payments are taken by Stripe for WAVEMYTH SRL, on Stripe's own payment page.

Only an adult can pay. A parent or carer who has said yes for a player pays from the parent corner, and the membership then covers every player that parent's email address said yes for. A player who has told us they are 16 or over and has signed in can pay for their own account on the Support Chikin page at chikinverse.com/support. A player under 16 is never shown a way to pay.

Chikin Club costs EUR 2.99 a month or EUR 24.99 a year. A tip is EUR 5, EUR 10 or EUR 20, paid once. Prices include VAT.

For the players it covers, Chikin Club takes the adverts away everywhere in the arcade, puts a gold frame around their Chikin, and shows a golden feather beside their player name. That is all it does. It gives no Credits, no rewards and no head start in any game. A tip is a thank-you and gives nothing in return.

Chikin Club renews by itself at the end of each month or year, and Stripe takes the same payment again, until it is cancelled. Cancel at any time with "Manage or cancel" in the parent corner or on the Support Chikin page. It opens Stripe's own page, where you can also change the card and see invoices. A membership that is cancelled, or whose payment fails, keeps its benefits until the end of the period already paid for and then ends by itself.

Paying starts the membership at once, and you agree that the 14-day right to cancel ends when it starts. You can stop it renewing at any time.

The games are made by Wavemyth and are loaded from a separate address into a frame on our page.

We can add a game, take a game down, put one into maintenance, or change one, at any time and without notice. A game that goes away may take its saves and its leaderboard with it.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that it will be free of faults, that a save will never be lost, or that a leaderboard is perfectly accurate.

We do take it seriously and we do try to fix things. Tell us when something is broken.

Nothing here takes away a right you have under Romanian or EU consumer law, and nothing here limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

The games, the artwork, the name Chikinverse Arcade and the look of the site belong to Wavemyth. You may play them and you may show them to people. You may not copy them, sell them, put them on another site, or use the artwork or the name for anything of your own without asking us.

You can stop using the site whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account. A parent or carer who said yes for you can delete it themselves from the parent corner, and a delete there cannot be undone. See the privacy page for how.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we can close the site down. If we close the site down we will say so on it first if we reasonably can.

We may change these terms. If we do, we will change this page and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will say so on the site rather than quietly swapping the words.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
