How to play Mecha Merge, a merge puzzle
Mecha Merge is a number puzzle like 2048, set in a robot lab. Each part has a number from 1 to 12 in its corner. Join two parts with the same number to build the next one, all the way up to part 11, Mother, the robot hen.
Step by step
- Swipe up, down, left or right anywhere on the board. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D.
- Every part slides that way as far as it can go.
- Two parts with the same number that meet join into the next part. Each join adds to your score, and bigger parts score more.
- After every swipe that moves something, a new part arrives on an empty square.
- Build part 11, Mother, to win the run. Then choose Keep building and go for part 12, the golden Mother.
Tips
- Keep your biggest part in one corner, and keep swiping towards it.
- Use two directions most of the time. Save the others for when you are stuck.
- Join small parts early, before the board fills up.
- Keep the row next to your biggest part full, so it stays in its corner.

What kind of puzzle is Mecha Merge?
A sliding number puzzle much like 2048, on a board of 4 by 4 squares, but the numbers are robot parts that grow into Mother.
What happens when the board is full?
When no swipe can move anything, the run is over. Press New run to start again.
What is today's run?
Today's run brings the same parts for everybody. Build part 8 to count your day.
Can I take back a swipe?
Yes, once a run. Undo, on the bar above the game, takes back your last swipe. The number on it shows if you still have it. A new run gives you a fresh one.
About this game
A sliding number puzzle in a robot lab. Swipe and every part slides as far as it can go. Two parts of the same stage that meet join into the next one, and a new part arrives after every swipe that moves something. Twelve stages take you from a glowing core to Mother, the robot hen, and then to a golden Mother. When nothing can move the run is over, though you may be offered a second chance that clears the three smallest parts. The daily run is the same parts for everyone.
