How to play Second Look, a spot-the-difference game
Second Look is a calm spot-the-difference game hosted by Facet, the black Chikin. Survey drones photograph each colony site twice, and something changed between the two shots. Your job is to find every change.
Step by step
- Two pictures of the same site sit side by side, or one above the other on a phone held upright. They look alike, but a few things are different.
- Tap a change in either picture. It is ringed in both, so you can see what changed.
- The rings between the pictures show how many changes are left on the plate.
- Find them all to clear the plate and go on to the next. A run is five plates from Zyvri V, Amarra and Scalda, with 32 changes in all.
- On a keyboard, use the arrow keys to move over the first picture and Enter to look in the square under the cursor.
Tips
- Each change is worth 10. Clearing a plate adds a bonus of 30, less 5 for every miss on it, so look before you tap.
- Stuck? Tap the glass and Facet shows you one change. You can do that three times a run.
- Changes can be small: a lamp in another colour, a window lit or dark, a Chikin facing the other way, or something gone from the sky.
- There is no timer, so take your time and take a second look.
Questions
What is the daily run?
Today's run is the same five sites for everyone. Clear all five plates to count your day.
Can I lose?
No. Nothing runs out and a run cannot be lost. A miss only takes a little off that plate's bonus.
Where are the pictures from?
They are survey shots of colony sites on three worlds, Zyvri V, Amarra and Scalda, each taken twice by a drone.
